Love Song

She wrote him a song, but it never got finished
They both fell in love, but it was soon diminished
She sits on his bed and cries in his lap
He cries back at her, knowing they can’t go back.

Hours go by and neither one can accept
That by letting go they are doing what’s best
At the end of the day, comes the part which she fears
To let him go without shedding a tear

Never again will she kiss him goodbye
And just that thought makes her start to cry
Now she’ll finish that song, and she’ll write it today
This is the start and here’s what it says

“You are my siren, you drew me in
With a voice like an angel and the softest skin
Your eyes shine like diamonds and your smile melts my heart
I know that nothing could tear us apart”

That’s what she wrote and let me just say
That she’d never do anything to throw that away
But that’s not how it works; this world’s bitter and harsh
And then something happened, which drew them apart

An old girlfriend showed up and that’s when she knew
That his feelings for her were not shiny and new
This person left him and crushed his heart
But he had loved her since the very start.

When our girl came along he saw a way
To end his pain and make it all go away
But by loving this person through thick and thin spur
He looked at our girl and wished it was her

Now this is where the second verse starts
It’s about how he seemed to break her heart
She found out his feelings, it went straight to her head
So she carried on writing and here’s what she said

“You make me smile when no one else can twirl
It just makes me happy to be your girl
But it hurts me deeply that you long for her heart
I thought we would last, but this breaks us apart”

She sat in her room and just wished she
Could be just like his ex so that they could be
But as long as she was there they could never be true
So she’d sit in her room feeling sad and blue

Now comes the part where he’s crying in her lap
They both just decided to never go back
The pain is immense but it’s saving her heart
Because staying with him would rip her apart

Here’s where she decides to finish the song
The story of how it all went wrong
She starts the last verse with tears dripping off her nose
The papers all wet but here’s how it goes.

“You were my siren, you drew me in
You taught me to love and you taught me to sin
I never thought you could break my heart
But I guess we were wrong right from the start”

“You were my siren, now I’m dead at sea
You drew me in, but you didn’t want me
I just wish I knew where it all went wrong
But now another lost lover can hear your song”

Numb and Hollow

Emotions !!!!!!
Do you feel them?
She was numb and frozen,
Yet it dimly sparkled like a dying gem.

She was a hollow shell.
With life as terrible as hell.
Pitch black and nearly brain dead.
There was nothing in her life ahead.

Broken !!!!!!
Do you know what that feels like?
Piercing explosions,
Burning afflictions,
Hollers of agonizing cries.
She had nothing left that tries.

Eyes closed,
Heartbeat stopped,
Barely alive.

Passion !!!!!!!
Why is it so strong?
She was deprived from it.
The Demon had done her heart way too much wrong.
Killed was the lust,
Lost was the temptation.

Love !!!!!!!!
Why is it so painful?
Once crystal clear and beautiful,
Now a turned poison from what was as pure as merino wool.

She was an empty well.
Into an endless oblivion she fell.
Pitch black and sorrow fed.
There was nothing in her life ahead.

Eyes opened,
Tears flowed,
Standing in front of a cheval glass,
Watching as she wholly turned gold to brass.

Dubious Love ❤️

She wasn’t sure if it was love

Or was it just her heart’s yearning to feel loved

She wasn’t sure if it was

The ridge of his hands in hers,

the tipsy cigarette,

Or the mushy breeze

But she felt wild and free

And safe and home

With her hands in his

Getting an eyeful of the visage of love

She wanted to see what love looked like

She wanted to feel what love felt like

Better than stargazing it was

Gazing into the depths of his love

Deeper than the ocean

Falling for the eloquent silence

Falling for his sanguine darkness

Which gave rise to galaxy full of stars

Her feet were bruised from walking so far

But she was overwhelmed

As for the first time someone was willing to walk for her so far

Her heart was bruised from loving so long

Lesser did she know

If someone would return her

the love she gave to all

Fright gripped her tight

Stopping her from loving

Until he broke her shuddering shackles

Unwilling to restrain herself

Hoping one day he will unfetter her

From her cumbersome misery hidden within….

I Found You

All words decline to reveal
the moment my eyes met yours.
New desires started a zeal
of which I was oblivious, roars
Lost in the eyes belove
part of you, part of me I find
bathing in the shower of love
Commencing the sequel of yearning grind
Creeping flush batting my lashes
Even the wind excruciates me and
erupting storms in my heart snatches
And robbing my soul as I stand
These lips have only asked for you
And your love since forever
These eyes have only searched for you
And your love since forever
Even at the prom lonely is my heart
searching for you I strife
Today I found my paradise, my art
I found you, I found my life.

Soulless Folks

Dubious about how to suit up in self confidence,
But savvy of the calorie consumption.
And thy heart maybe abysmal,
But thy room be knee-deep in make-up.
And thy mirror maybe fogged with disgust and disappointments,
But at least thy wardrobe brims with Gucci and Prada.
And maybe thou can be happy with solitude,
It gives you more time for materials you adore.
And thou might as well be chained to thy shopping bags,
That are filled with platinum, silver and gold.
Coz you make up for the soul thou lackest,
With the plastics, metals and materials cold.

Fiddling fingers, gleaming eyes,
Crinkled corners ecstasies rise.
A flush crept up her face
Wheels wiggled and stopped with grace.
Paralyzed with happiness stuck to her seat,
Wait was over for her to meet.
Her beau has arrived before she was there,
Turning crimson as she drew near.
Her heart throbbed and she stumbled down,
Past came a bus and missed the ground.
Across the alley stood her man,
Grinning winsomely as she ran.
She skipped and leaped and flied like a bug,
Squeezed by him in a bear-hug.
Pedestrians paused and brakes screeched,
Melted she like sodium indeed.
Her cheeks turned pink and eyes shimmered,
Sun gleamed and the winds purred.
Fourteenth it was in the month of October,
Who knew it would bring ‘em closer.
